Josh Thole started TCE in 2022 for the community and has grown the program each year giving his time to families and young athletes in the Southern Tier area in NYS.

Josh was drafted in the 13th round  by the New York Mets in 2005. He made his major league debut with the team on September 3, 2009 and had two hits in his first game against the Colorado Rockies. The victim of his first career hit was pitcher Jason Marquis. Thole had a .321 batting average in 17 games with the Mets at the end of the 2009 season . He had 9 RBIs.

After starting the following season in the minor leagues, Thole joined the Mets in June and remained with the New York club until the end of the 2010 season . He appeared in 73 games, batting .277 with three home runs and 17 RBIs. On July 20 , he hit his first career home run off Barry Enright of the Arizona Diamondbacks . The Mets' most-used catcher in 2011, Thole was hitting .268 with three home runs and 40 RBIs in 114 games. In 2012 , Thole played in 104 games, batting .234 with one home run and 21 RBIs.

In December 2012, Thole was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays along with star pitcher RA Dickey and catcher Mike Nickeas. The trade sent catchers John Buck and Travis d'Arnaud, pitcher Noah Syndergaard and outfielder Wuilmer Becerra to the Mets. On December 4, 2015, Thole signed a one year contract with Toronto, as Thole was RA Dickey's designated receiver.
